SALT LAKE CITY, Sept. 2, 2024 — This month, Panda Cares hosted named space recognition events at various hospitals to celebrate the establishment of Panda Cares Centers of Hope. These events have taken place at prominent member children’s hospitals including Rady Children’s Hospital in San Diego, CHRISTUS Children’s in San Antonio, and Wolfson Children’s Hospital in Jacksonville. The initiative continued across the nation, reaching member children’s hospitals in Fargo, Sacramento, Birmingham, and more, with the aim of providing comfort, joy, and essential services to young patients and their families.
In addition to the Centers of Hope, Panda Express donated 1,643 meals for patients and their families at numerous hospitals through 17 Panda Cares Day events in August. From Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta to Nicklaus Children’s Hospital in Miami, these food donations have brought much-needed support to families during challenging times. The outreach extended to cities including Honolulu, Pittsburgh, and New Orleans, reinforcing Panda Express’s commitment to nurturing both physical and emotional well-being in the communities they serve.

Since their inception, Panda Cares Centers of Hope have evolved to meet the diverse needs of children and their families. From vibrant playrooms to serene gardens, rehabilitation gyms, and even entire hospital floors or units, these centers offer a range of services and amenities tailored to each hospital’s unique environment.
