KELOWNA, BC, Sept. 13, 2018 – Pela Case, pioneers of the world’s first zero-waste, 100% compostable, phone case is proud to team up with the Surfrider Foundation – a network of passionate people who are dedicated to the protection and enjoyment of the world’s ocean, waves and beaches through a powerful activist network.
The collaboration between Pela and the Surfrider Foundation consists of the addition of limited-edition, custom-designed cases to Pela’s line of fully biodegradable phone cases. Pela has created a series of cases with the new Surfrider logo with the purpose of giving back to the world’s oceans and beaches. Five percent of all sales from the newly-released Pela Case will go directly to the Surfrider Foundation. Furthermore, Pela will also be working to help support fundraising campaigns and events to further Surfrider’s mission of protecting the ocean and coasts.
“The partnership between Pela and the Surfrider Foundations is a natural fit,” said Pela Co-Founder and CEO, Matt Bertulli. “We are joined together by a common mission: to create a cleaner planet for future generations. Both organisations are passionate about reducing plastic pollution and fostering the use of sustainable lifestyle options. We couldn’t be prouder to be coming together on this joint venture.”
The new limited-edition compostable phone cases can be purchased on the Pela Case and Surfrider websites, and the donations will help the Surfrider Foundation to continue the amazing work of educating communities and working with them to create more awareness and protect clean water and healthy beaches.
