Lucas Warren is the first child with Down syndrome to receive the honor of being America’s cutest baby since the contest began more than 90 years ago. The Jerome Lejeune Foundation is launching a medical care facility dedicated to adults and children with Down syndrome in the coming months, and is overjoyed that Down syndrome will be portrayed in a positive light through Lucas Warren. At the new facility, adults and children will not only receive unprecedented expert personal medical care, but will also be appreciated for who they truly are — as beautiful human beings with a heart, a soul, and lots of love to share.
While this hospital will be the first of its kind in the United States, the Jerome Lejeune Foundation already has this type of operation and experience in Paris, France. The Jerome Lejeune Institute in France is the Jerome Lejeune Foundation’s specialized medical center, offering unique consultation to patients with Down syndrome, throughout the patient’s life. The US-based hospital is being modeled after the Jerome Lejeune Institute in France and will begin accepting patients in the coming months.
