Sage Creek Drive in the Desert: Abolitionist Fundraiser Seeks $1 Million To Fight Child Sex Trafficking

MOAB, Utah, Jan. 28, 2019 /- Sage Creek at Moab, in partnership with Operation Underground Railroad (OUR) and Child Liberation Foundation (CLF), announced a fundraising giveaway that aims to collect in excess of $1 million dollars to fight child sex trafficking. The giveaway, dubbed the “Sage Creek Drive in the Desert”, features the chance to win a 2019 Jeep Wrangler (Moab Edition) or a five-night stay at the newly-constructed premier resort destination in Moab, Utah, the off-road capital of the world.

Participants will receive at least 5 entries into the giveaway for each $5.00 donation made online at donate.sagecreekatmoab.com. 100% of all donations collected will go to O.U.R. and CLF to support their continued operations rescuing children from sex trafficking and their critical aftercare recovery efforts. Mail-in entries can also be submitted free of charge. Winners will be selected via random drawing on Facebook live at 5 PM Mountain Time on April 23rd.

The top 100 donors will be invited to a VIP party to be held at Sage Creek at Moab, the region’s newest luxury resort destination, on April 19th. The party will be held the same week as the annual Moab Easter Jeep Safari. Attendees will include OUR field operatives, staff, and celebrity guests

“OUR and CLF have rescued and rehabilitated over 1700 children. Our hope is that the Sage Creek Drive in the Desert will raise over $1 million dollars to rescue as many more girls and boys as possible – and inspire good people to get involved to help us unite and abolish slavery as we know it,” said Wayne M.  Aston, Developer/CEO of Sage Creek at Moab.

Tim Ballard, CEO and founder of Operation Underground Railroad, added, “OUR’s private donors and corporate partners are essential to funding our work, which involves costly global intelligence gathering and rescue efforts. We’re thrilled that Sage Creek is helping to support us, and our partners at CLF, in our mission to free children around the world from slavery.”
