Danzig made his official UFC debut on December 8, 2007, where he won The Ultimate Fighter 6 bout, and continued his career winning record with 22 wins and 12 losses through March 2014. Danzig is currently the CFL Junior Welterweight Champion, fighting on August 5, 2017 against WSOF vet Joe Condon.

Mac is credited as a Mixed Martial Arts Consultant for the Nickelodeon television series, The Legend of Korra, and continues to coach current and future fighters. Other passions for Mac have led him to become a professional nature photographer who specializes in landscape and wildlife photography and an animal rights advocate. He has been a vegan since 2004 which has brought that lifestyle global recognition in documentaries such as Forks Over Knives.
