Vitamin Angels Sets Goal to Reach 200,000 Children

SANTA BARBARA, Calif., Nov. 17, 2017 – Vitamin Angels, a 501(c)3 public charity who helps malnourished mothers and children get life-saving vitamins, is kicking off its year-end campaign on #GivingTuesday – Tuesday, November 28 – with the goal of reaching 200,000 children through funds raised. Their cost to give a child enough life-saving vitamins for a whole year is just 25 cents. Donors will see their funds go even farther as all donations will be matched up to $25,000 thanks to the generosity of an anonymous donor. The campaign will run from November 28 through December 31.

“A donation to our year-end campaign is a great opportunity for supporters to double the impact they are making on the lives of children in need,” said Howard Schiffer, President and Founder of Vitamin Angels. “What a wonderful way to start off the season that is all about the joy of giving.”

Vitamin Angels’ fiscal responsibility has been recognized by Charity Navigator with their highest rating year-over-year. The organization uses funds efficiently, with over 90% of expenses going to programs services.
