Military Kids to Receive Toys with the Help of Cracker Barrel Old Country Store®

LEBANON, Tenn., Nov. 22, 2017 – Starting Black Friday, Cracker Barrel Old Country Store® is partnering with its flagship nonprofit partner Operation Homefront to help provide toys to military children. Cracker Barrel will donate 20 percent of all toy sales purchased from shop.crackerbarrel.com from Black Friday through Giving Tuesday (Nov. 24 to Nov. 28) and in stores nationwide on Black Friday to Operation Homefront’s Holiday Toy Drive. All funds raised from this promotion will be used to purchase toys for America’s military children.

“The holidays are an important time to remember the day-to-day challenges faced by the families of those serving to protect our country,” said Cracker Barrel Manager of Corporate Citizenship Sloane Lucas. “This holiday season our guests have the opportunity to purchase toys for their own families while helping Cracker Barrel spread cheer to military kids.”

On Giving Tuesday, guests can even purchase toys at a discounted price while also giving back to kids in need. For that day, Cracker Barrel is offering a 25 percent discount on any toy purchased in store and online, including stuffed animals, puzzles, doll houses and more.

Operation Homefront has served tens of thousands of military families across the country. The organization helps build strong, stable and secure military families by offering valuable programs addressing short-term and long-term stability.

“For the service men and women who have done so much for our country, the holidays can be financially challenging,” said Operation Homefront Senior Director of Corporate and Foundation Partnerships Jill Eskin-Smith. “We are incredibly grateful to Cracker Barrel and its customers for supporting Operation Homefront’s Holiday Toy Drive program, which has distributed millions of toys to military children since 2010, and for helping us bring joy, throughout the season, to the military families that we serve.”

Cracker Barrel has supported military-focused programs for many years, including Fisher House, National Military Family Association, Children of Fallen Patriots Foundation, United Through Reading, the National Museum of the United States Army and The Legion Fund, among others. By supporting the families of those serving in the U.S. armed forces, Cracker Barrel believes it can make a deeper, more meaningful and lasting impact.
