Simon Cowell Hosts Sick Children With Celebrities

Simon Cowell hosted 12 sick children from his Shooting Star Chase charity and their families at The Dorchester Hotel, London recently. They had afternoon tea together with other celebrity supporters of the charity like Arlene Phillips, Laurence Llewellyn-Bowen, Dame Jean Collins, and Julian Clary.

The children were also treated to goodies from a sweet cart while they enjoyed a rendition of the acoustic version of Somewhere Over the Rainbow by Conroe Talbot, Britain’s Got Talent Star.

Simon Cowell, one of the judges of Britain’s Got Talent, has been involved in the Shooting Star Chase Charity for about 14 years. He was appointed Vice President in 2015 while his better half, Lauren Silverman also became a patron of the charity.

At the event, Cowell expressed that the gathering was all about the children and their families and that Shooting Star Chase was honored to be a part of them.

The director of fundraising for Shooting Star Chase, Karen Sugarman said the charity was grateful to Cowell, Silverman, and the management of The Dorchester hotel for hosting them.
She said that the event was a refreshing experience for the children and their families, who have had to live in unfathomable suffering.

The children and their families also didn’t hide their joy at being part of the event.
The mother of a seven-year-old child with cerebral palsy, Faye Nogombo said that her son, Caleb was pleased to meet Cowell and the other celebrity supporters of the charity. She said that they felt very special and honored by the celebrity treatment they received.
