CBCF’s Minority Access to Capital Executive Summit, in Chicago

Chicago, IL … The Congressional Black Caucus Foundation’s (CBCF), http://www.cbcfinc.org/, holds its Minority Access to Capital Executive Economic Summit, in Chicago, Illinois, Tuesday, May 9th, 2017, 8am to 5pm; at the Polsky Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation, University of Chicago, 1452 E 53rd Street, Chicago, IL 60615.

This is the CBCF’s fourth Executive Economic Summit (EES IV) titled, Chicago Ready: Strategies for Black Business Growth and Development. The CBCF bringing EES IV to Chicago represents a unique opportunity to glean best practices of black owned businesses while also recognizing the realities of black business flight and socio-economic hardships facing Chicago’s black community.

The goals for this summit are threefold:

• Discuss and disseminate the impact of federal, state, and local policy, resources, and opportunities for collaboration and partnerships advancing minority owned business growth and entrepreneurship.

• Cultivate and expand professional business networks among black business leaders and entrepreneurs at a local and federal level.

• Release a series of reports and recommendations based on policies and analyses of discussions raised from EES I – IV.

The Chicago Ready summit is designed to help us understand key factors that lead to disparities in minority access to capital and revenue and address and promote policies and initiatives that support the advancement of business growth and opportunity.
